Conference Companies Recommend: Multiple Product Formats
A massive account for your seminar total revenue is visitors finding products that fit their particular learning modality. Some folks wish to listen, some to read, some to do things hands on. We all learn differently, and your capability to sell, and select your convention pricing will be impacted considerably by providing products for each sort of person.
Here are one or two examples I advise:
Creating Audios
Audio tapes are usually the most effective- and efficient- goods to make. If you said to me that you needed to have products inside a week, I could help you put together 1 or 2 different sets of audio tapes that might sell for as much as $500.
There are at least three ways to form these products. First, you can record a live event. If you do this, make sure the audience is well miked. Doing products this way creates a product that has a very natural energy, there’s nothing like a live audience to call you higher as a speaker!
Another way to do them is to form an in depth outline and have someone interview you. Not long ago I did this for a customer and we basically made a six-hour audio program that he’ll be able to sell for $195. He’ll be in a position to sell it for a two years and we project at least $250,000 in income.
Your third choice is to interview executives in the field. This is done head to head or by phone. Most experts will accept this arrangement for you including their contact details.
If you lined up 6 pros and interviewed them back to back on one day you will have a program done in a day.
Similarly , this can sell for $195. Or you might interview one expert for six hours, reversing the task I described in the previous paragraph. The last probability is to go into the studio and essentially talk into a mike. I don’t care who you are, this is tricky to drag off.
Tony Robbins is one of the few folks who could do this and make it work.
I have got a heavy time with his things. It’s tricky to keep someone’s interest for long as a solo act with no audience interaction. You don’t need a complicated, pricey recording machine when you start.
You must get started! A neat starting point is my audio program, Making and Selling Data Products, about which you are going to be able to find information in Appendix A. Making Videos Video tapes are superb products to incorporate in your Product Funnel. You can make a lot more money with videos than with any other kind of product. But please don’t try to put together your own video product without steerage. The technique isn’t intolerably complex but till you have some experience, there are numerous issues to avoid. Only experience helps you learn the way to do these well.
I have done tons of video projects. Give me a call and I may give you my thoughts. I’ll help you’re employed out a good process for making them and I’m ready to get you in touch with the right folk to help.
Publishing a Newsletter or eZine If you have data that changes frequently or if you are prepared to dig up little delicacies of information often which is going to enlighten your customers and make their ventures more successful, you need to think about publishing an email newsletter or an eZine ( electronic mag ).
The 1st difference between the two is a mail newsletter is mostly produced completely in plain text and emailed to people, while an eZine is more of an internet site that includes graphics, nice layouts, reports, etc, and your customers come to it. ( It is possible to use HTML email to send out an eZine, though many people use email programs that do not get HTML and can not do anything with the foolishness they receive in that case. ) Even if you do a mail newsletter, you will need to target little techniques which make it more articulate, engaging, and favorable. One great thing about both these types of communication is they give you an excuse to stay in regular contact with your customer base. Another good thing is that both can contain hyperlinks on which your customer / reader / prospect can click and be carried to your internet site where you get a chance to make a more clear sales spiel for a selected product, service, or special offer. Don’t give these things away only to get names into your database, though . This is one of what Web promoting guru Yanik Silver calls a parable : that you’ve got to give something away online to get people to be conscious of your offerings. Either this newsletter or eZine has got price for which your customers are prepared to pay or you shouldn’t trouble with it in the initial place. ( An exception to that might be that you include a newsletter subscription as a premium when they purchase another product of yours. This is continually an engaging selling and pricing strategy.
2 well-known convention leaders have comparatively dear monthly newsletters but give guests at their conventions a free one year subscription. ).
