Seminar Acquiantance
It’s always a good idea to get people at your events to introduce themselves to the group. Depending on the size of your group, this will determine how LONG you can make these introductions.
For groups larger than 100, it makes it virtually impossible, so I have some other suggestions. For groups of 100 or less, you can use a very simple system.
Groups of 50 and more, I have each person stand, tell people their name and what field they are in.
For groups of less than 50, I have them stand, tell us their name, the field they are in and the ONE MAIN REASON for attending the event.
For groups less than 25, I will usually allow them to elaborate a bit more on their backgrounds, but I will appoint someone as time keeper to not allow anyone to go over 30 seconds.
This should keep things moving along and not allow someone to do a lengthy commercial.
